African-Americans Obtain Weapons, Licenses, Training; Support 2nd Amendment In Record Numbers- TTiVLive! Premiere 4-12-13
African-Americans are obtaining weapons of all types, the proper licenses to carry them, and the training to use them in record numbers according to Rick Ector, one of Detroit's most recognizable personalities among 2nd Amendment activists and gun owners in general.
In this episode of The Truth Is Viral Ector talks about race and guns, stating that "people of color don't want to give up their firearms" any more than anyone else, and that recent attacks on the 2nd Amendment threaten all law-abiding gun owners equally.
Recognizing that police officers, especially in a crime-ridden city like Detroit, won't always be able to respond in time to save someone from a violent attack, Ector suggests that everyone obtain at least a sidearm for personal protection, train to use the weapon, and get the proper licenses to enable them to carry legally. Fortunately for residents of Michigan, it is both an "Open Carry" and "Shall Issue" state, where there are very few restrictions to gun ownership.
Since this is the Premiere episode of TTiVLIVE!, we take a trip down memory lane, recalling the best scoops in the history of The Truth Is Viral.
